“I stayed inside the room for three months. I didn't have the confidence to go outside. My depression got worse.” - Aisha
The asylum system can push people into unsafe and vulnerable situations. Aisha navigated a tricky pregnancy and early motherhood while stuck in poor asylum accommodation. While Botan was left uncertain of how to protect his family when his asylum case was wrongfully refused.
But with your support more people like Aisha and Botan can be reached. By donating, Refugee Action can provide the casework, legal support and safe accommodation when people need it most.
If you'd like to make a donation of £35,000 or more, please contact our philanthropy team at [email protected]
- £5: Your gift could help provide children in the asylum system with basic school supplies and crafts so that they can still explore, learn and play.
- £10: Your gift could provide 2 weeks worth of mobile allowance and data. This would help people stay connected to their families and access vital information about their case.
- £20: Your gift could provide a person seeking safety with an hour session with an advice caseworker or interpreter. This would help them better understand their rights and ensure that language barriers don’t stop people getting the support they are entitled to.

Please don't go! If you choose no, we won't be able to contact you about our work and how you're helping people who have fled violence and persecution. Be part of the action to help them rebuild their lives in Britain. Please choose yes.
